Debbie highly recommends that learners’ parents or carers are always present during ‘lessons’ provided by tutors – and that certain qualifications and safeguarding may be necessary depending on your country’s requirements.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Science Planning degree from Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science And Technology in 2006, I least expected that I would love teaching. But now I can say proudly that I am a phonics consultant through training from Debbie Hepplewhite’s method of systematic synthetic phonics. I use Phonics International resources in my sister’s school and the result is just tremendous. I have been organising phonics workshops for schools in Western Region.
